The Leaves Have Fallen: Fall 2018 Recap

Fall isn't officially over until December 21, but let's be real - it's really over once we enter the holiday season. Temperatures are basically freezing, Christmas decor is up, and all the leaves have fallen, so it's safe to say goodbye to Fall and welcome Winter with open arms.

I hope everyone lived their best Fall lives this year, because I sure did. Fall 2018 for me is basically summed up in this Humpty Dumpty meme. At the beginning of the season, I created a Fall Bucket list, and I did pretty good knocking things off of it.

My Fall Bucket List

  • Buy fall decor (pumpkin, mums, pumpkin scented candles, etc.)

  • Visit a pumpkin patch

  • Take a hayride

  • Visit the Jack Daniels Distillery in Lynchburg, TN

  • Visit a haunted house

  • Go to an apple orchard

  • Bake a homemade apple pie with picked apples

  • Get lost in a corn maze

  • Carve a pumpkin

  • Eat apple cider donuts

  • Bake pumpkin bread

  • Make spiked apple cider

  • Attend a football game/tailgate

  • Watch scary movies

  • Attend Fright Fest at Six Flags

  • Attend a Halloween/costume party

  • Make homemade soup

Although this Fall season flew by, I was able to knock out 14/17 items off my list. The bolded items above were the things that I got to do.

My favorite Fall 2018 moments were apple picking at Hillcrest Orchards, horseback riding at Cowgirl Up Stables, and visiting the Haunted Pink Trap House in addition to drinking tons of pumpkin spice lattes from Starbuck's.

What was your favorite moment of Fall 2018?

Between Fall cleaning and all of the wonderful Fall activities, I hope your Fall season was as amazing as mine! If not, hopefully you can find some things to add to your Fall bucket list next year.
